Japanese Crepes - Taste of Japan - what you need to know

Описание к видео Japanese Crepes - Taste of Japan - what you need to know

Hey everybody,
welcome back to inside japan,

This week we will look at a popular Japanese treat - Crepes.

If you have spent any time in Japan
you have likely come across a display case filled with these colorful desserts.

In last weeks video about Harajuku,
you may have noticed 5 or 6 crepe shops
on this one 400 meter stretch of shopping.

I have had plain crepes in a America before,
but I had never tried them in Japan.

so when a food truck serving crepes in my area
came highly reccomended, I decided to give it a shot.

The number of fillings available can be so numerous as to make your choice difficult, but there should be some named options to pick from.

Pricing varies depending on the shop, but you should expect to pay between 4 to 6 dollars.

I went with a regular sized banana and caramel crepe with whip creme and some small pieces of tart.

After submitting my order, I ended up waiting about 15 minutes.
By the time I picked it up,
the required wait time had stretched to 45-60 minutes.

So how was it?

The crepe itself was great,
soft but sweet, and you can never go wrong with the caramel and creme.

Thanks for joining us,
We hope you enjoyed,
