How Long Does It Take to Receive a Receipt From USCIS? | Free Immigration Law Advice

Under normal circumstances, the average time to receive a receipt notice is 1-3 weeks and sometimes it can take up to one or two months due to current workload of the USCIS. Given USCIS is backlogged due to the COVID-19 shutdowns, right now it could take up to 6-months.
