STORY:
Long story short, Mudstar, leader of CypressClan, is given an omen of a 'rose with bloody thorns'. He looks out of his den and envisions his deputy, Roseheart, with blood on her muzzle.

Roseheart becomes leader of CypressClan after Mudstar dies, shortly after the omen.

She and her deputy/mate, Lightningthroat, begin to implement Rosestars plans- to make CypressClan the strongest Clan in the bayou, and to unite all of the Clans. They start with gladiator-esque battles to narrow down the strongest cats in the Clan, before recruiting kittypets and rogues.

Throughout this, Rosestar has become increasingly abusive and manipulative towards Lightningthroat, who fails to see the flaws in Rosestars cruel plan. All of her scars are from Rosestars own claws, save for the foot, which was an alligator.

A kittypet named Spike is recruited, and Lightningthroat quickly falls in love, while Spike does as well. Spike explains to Lightningthroat how terrible Rosestar is, and that Lightningthroat needs to do something. She also confesses her love, and that she will always be by Lightningthroats side. This alliance does not last long, as Spike is murdered by Rosestar soon after.

Rosestar launches an invasion on HerronClan, having her army slaughter most of the cats in said Clan, and taking the rest prisoner.

Rosestar prepares to meet Eelnose, the heir to MossClans leadership (Snakestar was murdered, and Eelnose prevented from getting his lives). Her plan is to have her army surround him and kill him, then slaughter the rest of MossClan. However, when she calls forth her cats, they turn on HER- circling her and keeping her trapped. Lightningthroat then reveals herself. She had made an agreement with Eelnose and CypressClans terrified warriors.

Lightningthroat confronts her mate, her leader, and kills her. Feeling a slight tinge of regret, though she knows it was the right thing to do.
