There are two ways an access group can be assigned to an account:
The system defaults an account’s access group based on the user who adds the account. It uses the user’s default access group to do this
If you can conceive of a rule to assign an appropriate access group to a newly added account, you can have your programming staff introduce a user exit to the account row program to implement this rule
– For example, a user exit could be developed that assigns an access group to an account based on its customer class. The name of the user-exit is AFTER-MOVE-CORR-ADD and the name of the account row program is CIPCACCR.
Regardless of the method used to assign an account’s access group, please be aware that the user who adds an account must have access to this access group
After the initial assignment, a user may change an account’s access group to any access group to which they have access.
