Lugrade - Isothermal panels & industrial doors | ColdKit

Lugrade’s main activity is the transformation & commercialization of dry salted codfish and its subproducts. It is a company of excellence in the codfish market, holding a respectful place among the top 10 players in the industry.

Following the company’s growth and its aim to triple its turnover, Lugrade decided to build a new production plant. It counted on Purever industrial division to quickly develop all necessary implementation studies, as well as the respective approval of layouts for manufacturing and assembly.

Located in Coimbra, Lugrade’s production plant is now the most modern cod fish processing plant in Portugal. It represents:
- An investment of approximately 10 million euros;
- A construction area of about 11,000 sqm (118403 sqf), including 2,500 sqm (26909.77 sqf) of covered area;
- A fish processing capacity of more than 3000 tons per year.

ColdKit and Portiso, both companies from Purever Group, were selected to provide isothermal panels & doors to this new factory. We designed, manufactured and installed:
- 1 freezing tunnel;
- 3 frozen storage chambers;
- 4 cold chambers;
- 1 cold room for subproducts;
- 4 operating rooms;
- 10 automatic sliding doors;
- 7 custom speed doors.

This work had a very high degree of demand, with an execution deadline of only about 120 days. Even so, ColdKit managed to supply and install more than 11,000 sqm of isothermal PIR Bs1d0 panel, with a finish specially selected to this industry.
