Vietnam 🇻🇳 Scammer Grab driver in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

My first ride in a Grab car turned out the best a scammer! He was an authentic driver, and his scam was to take a much longer route, so the fare was double what it should have been, then, instead of hitting “complete ride” on the Grab app, he asked for cash. Said he could not accept credit cards. Bullshit!
I get it, it is better for the drivers to get cash. Not my concern. He needs to work a side hustle for cash.
What I learned: Use the option a the bottom of the available cars that’s “Lowest price.” Then, Use Google Translate to confirm with driver that payment is through the App, No Cash! The next two drivers were amenable to this and did not ask for cash/followed the most direct route. So I will definitely use Grab, but confirm that they agree to accept payment through the app.
