LEAD 2 – FBLP 5 Workshop 2 Highlights 📽

What does it mean to be "engaged in one’s community"?

The LEAD 2 – FBLP 5 fellows focused their attention on community engagement for the second workshop of the Future Bridging Leaders Program of the AIM TeaM Center for Bridging Leadership.

After conducting their Rapid Area Assessments (RAA), the fellows presented the social divides present in their respective communities. The six-day workshop then centered on the Co-Ownership phase of the Bridging Leadership Framework. It aimed to refine the fellows' knowledge and skills in dialogue and communication, stakeholder and project management, data analytics, innovation, and design thinking. Delivered by distinguished faculty of the Asian Institute of Management, Prof. Manuel De Vera, Prof. Gino Borja, Prof. Nieves Confesor, Prof. Matthew Escobido, Prof. Raul Rodriguez and Prof. Richard Cruz, these sessions were a comprehensive guide for their fellows in preparing for their change project prototypes. Co-founder of the Center for Bridging Leadership and former AIM Professor Jacinto Gavino also made a rare appearance to deliver the session on the BL framework and stakeholder engagement.

The LEAD 2 – FBLP 5 fellows were also introduced to the power of collaboration within different sectors from live cases of outstanding AIM Bridging Leadership fellows, (Mindanao Bridging Leadership Program Mayor Jun Pacalioga) and his program on organic agriculture in the Municipality of Dumingag, (FBLP Cohort 3) Kenneth Bacala’s Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc., and (FBLP Cohort 3) Patrick Manuel on his Pantawid Covid Project and Kapit Pinas.
