While more and more countries are adopting feminist foreign policies, the call for humanitarian action to become transformative in terms of gender equality unsettles those who perceive it as going beyond the humanitarian mandate. Especially the principle of neutrality is often cited as being incompatible with gender-transformative humanitarian action.
