Traveling to Geonosis where the Death Star was under construction, Vader met with Commander Krennic. But when Krennic points the finger at Governor Tarkin, Vader’s loyalty officer recommends investigating another suspect: Galen Erso. In Erso’s office on Coruscant, Vader discovered two items of interest: kyber crystals and an ootheca, a capsule that contained eggs produced by Geonosian Queens. Returning to Krennic on Geonosis, Krennic claims Erso has never been to Geonosis and a rogue infestation, as Geonosians were a servant species forbidden from breeding freely, must have sent him the egg. After confronting the queen and her hive, Vader meets with Governor Tarkin and reveals he has taken care of the problem - by slaughtering them like animals.
