Reaction after the Netherlands failed to qualify for Euro 2016 when they lost 3-2 to the Czech Republic in Group A at the Amsterdam ArenA on Tuesday (13 October).

"You have to look to the future now. This is very disappointing for the players, for me, for the Netherlands, but we have to look ahead, and the new goal is qualifying for (the World Cup in) Russia."

"At this moment we are missing 12 and maybe 15 players. We are not Germany nor Spain, we are the Netherlands and then is difficult to have (enough) substitutes."


SOUNDBITE (Czech) Pave Vrba, Czech Republic coach:

"I'm very pleased with our victory tonight because one team can't win against the Netherlands very often at their home. The last time we won here was in 1966. I think the main reason we have won tonight is the maximum engagement of our players and that brought the result."



SOUNDBITE (Czech) Pave Vrba, Czech coach:

"I'm very glad we have scored in every qualification game except one, and actually we scored the most goals in our group and that says a lot about our team."
