Frankie DiVita interviews Taylor Hawkins at NAMM 2007

Over the last few days as I mourned the loss of Taylor Hawkins of the Foo Fighters along with hundreds of thousands of other Foo fans, I decided to reach back into my archives of interviews and found this interview I did with Taylor back in 2007 at NAMM in Anaheim, CA in the Tama Drums booth. I was working for 96.7 KCAL Rocks at the time and although the lighting was bad and people kept walking through the shot, it was an off-the-cuff, very casual but fun interview. Taylor was laid back, gives us a history of his beginnings in drumming, talks about his "big mouth", and what the Foos were working on at the time, among other things.
This man was an all-around nice guy, extremely talented, and loved by all. I'd crossed paths with him several times after this day and he was always the same friendly, sociable, laid-back guy. Rest In Peace, Taylor Hawkins. You will be greatly missed.
