Advancements in hydrogen system modeling have made significant progress in recent years, from fundamental principles to complex systems. Hydrogen, as a versatile and clean energy carrier, has gained considerable attention for its potential to decarbonize various sectors, including transportation, industry, and power generation. Modeling hydrogen systems is crucial for understanding their behavior, optimizing their performance, and guiding policy decisions.
The purpose of this session is to understand how hydrogen system modeling has enhanced our understanding of hydrogen's role in the transition to a sustainable energy system, how it can support decision-making, inform policy development, and facilitate the design and optimization of hydrogen infrastructure across various sectors. Continued research and development in this field will further refine and expand the capabilities of hydrogen system models, enabling more accurate predictions and fostering the widespread adoption of hydrogen as a clean energy solution.
