District Elder Cora Louise Parchia was born February 7, 1930. She was born again; water baptized in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and filled with the Holy Ghost at Apostolic Faith Church in Chicago, IL under the Pastorate of Bishop John S. Holly. She later became the first member of Apostolic Faith Church to earn a college degree. She worked diligently as First Lady of Mt. Zion Healing Assembly Healing Temple in Milwaukee, WI under the Pastorate of her husband, Bishop Earl Parchia until his death, when she became the Pastor. Dr. Parchia was the youngest Pastors wife in the Illinois District Council and the Minnesota Wisconsin Dakotas District Council. She also served as President of the International Minister’s Wives & Widows Auxiliary of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, Inc., and First Lady of the Florida State Council for 35 years. Dr. Parchia was also the first woman in the Mt. Zion Healing Assembly congregation to receive doctorates. The first teacher in the Milwaukee Public School system from the Mt. Zion Healing Assembly. The first female to be consecrated as a District Elder in the Minnesota Wisconsin and Dakota's District Council. She is the first mother in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc. to have her children to serve as District Elder at the same time. She had a life of many firsts, which speaks of the excelling power of God in her life.
