Daisy Osteospermum, appropriately called “Day’s eye”, is one of more than a million standing huddled as subshrubs in organised chaos to each other but also in unity looking in a vertical direction for its survival dependant inter alia on the sun’s energy. It accepts the blue sky as a matter of fact and does not care that the blue sky is actually white sunlight made up of many different colours mixed together and that the blue gets scattered everywhere into the air making the sky look blue. It is also oblivious of the fact that its scientific name, osteospermum is derived from the Greek and Latin language and is proud to be called one of the following – Cape daisy, African daisy, South African daisy or even blue-eyed daisy.
