This is an excerpt from the eighth song on our debut album, titled Freak Scene, which came out in 2022. The album is a set of 'weird covers'... The original versions were all noisy guitar records from the late '80s & early '90s - grunge, indie rock, art punk - from bands like Dinosaur Jr, Pavement, Pixies, Sonic Youth & My Bloody Valentine... Our versions strip away all that lovely distortion and replace it with acoustic instruments, vocal harmonies, woodwinds, Latin percussion... A mellow Silver Panda universe... Elements of '60s folk, Tropicalia, cool jazz, exotica...and a surrealist punk spirit...

To celebrate the album's 3rd birthday we're posting the whole thing up in these little 'shorts' on YouTube... This one is the fourth excerpt from our version of The Lemonheads' 'Half The Time, originally a stand-out track on their 1990 'Lovey' LP (the one before they found mainstream success with It's A Shame About Ray)... Maree Choie is on vocals & clarinet, Raphael Mann on vocals, acoustic guitar, bass, percussion, ukulele & glockenspiel...
