A tragic incident occurred on the Outer Ring Road in the Shamirpet Police Station limits of Medchal–Malkajgiri district early Sunday morning. A car suddenly caught fire, resulting in the driver being burned alive. According to reports, the driver parked his car near the Leonio Restaurant on ORR and fell asleep inside with the AC on while traveling from Shamirpet toward Keesara. Moments later, flames erupted inside the vehicle. The fire spread rapidly, leaving the driver with no chance to escape. The car was completely gutted. Shamirpet police reached the spot immediately and, along with the Clues Team, began an investigation to identify the exact cause of the fire and the victim’s details. Officials suspect a possible short circuit. Experts say that older cars or vehicles with wiring issues can overheat when the AC is left running for long periods, putting excess pressure on electrical circuits. This may lead to short circuits, battery failures, or fuel line complications, potentially causing a fire. This tragic accident is believed to have occurred in a similar manner.
