How to Build a Japanese Inspired Bench

In this video, I built this bench using traditional wedge joinery. The center stretcher is attached to the legs with a through tenon and wedged in place with a through tenon.
Wedges hold the top in place. The bench is made of walnut, and the top wedges are made of mahogany.

This type of woodworking is what keeps me building custom furniture.
