“Extra’s” Terri Seymour caught up with Simon Cowell, who was reduced to tears while reliving “America’s Got Talent” contestant Archie Williams’ incredible performance.

Williams, who was “incarcerated for 37 years for somebody else’s crime,” has inspired Cowell to become an ambassador for the Innocence Project, an organization committed to exonerating the wrongly convicted through DNA testing.

Cowell added, “We’ve become friends.”
