My son received a printed and assembled RC airplane for his birthday this summer, a Craycle Stick!

The print was very easy and the assembly wasn't too bad, though there were a few frustrating moments (can't insert pushrods from the front). It has simple electronics and overall was a fairly satisfying build process. I maybe would use a slimmer ESC if I were going to buy custom parts for this. Something like a ZTW Mantis Slim 30A (or 20A) and use an XT30. My Hobbywing 30A and XT60 make it just a bit tight in the fuselage.

He flew it well on 30% (roughly) expo and the plane is quite fun. It showed no obvious bad tendencies and had loads of power. The second flight resulted in the conclusion that adding a carbon spar to the wing might not be a bad idea. Even though it was basically destroyed, I had another one printed by the end of the next day.

I later printed one for myself (not in this video) entirely of PETG and flew it a half dozen times. My version had no landing gear and displayed a significant tendency to climb under throttle (one could perform a full loop without touching the elevator). I added washers to the top motor screws to shim the motor down. This helped but did not solve the issue completely. If you want to print one, I would suggest keeping the landing gear attached.

Overall it's a fun little model. I would be tempted to scale it up and try a bigger one if I didn't already have so many other projects going on. During its first flight, I think my other son said, "I definitely want one of these!" (And then I printed him one!)
