Fatal Fury: King of Fighters (Terry Bogard Playthrough - No Continues)

TERRY BOGARD IS HEEEEEERE! In Street Fighter 6 of all games!

So, what better way to celebrate my husbando's arrival in one of the greatest games ever made, than to play a little bit of his debut in the gaming world?

Fatal Fury was the game that made me payy attention to the Neo Geo. I was impressed with it's earlier titles, NAM-1975 and Sengoku mostly, but it was Mr, Bogard's little adventure that made me really wish i had a Neo Geo. It never happened, i couldn't find a buyer for my kidney, but i played this on hourly rentals at the game store near my house until my fingers fell off.

It was not as refined as Street Fighter II, nor it had the same cast of characters, but everything it had, it had in spades. Fatal Fury oozed charisma, it's story about vengeance against a villainous martial artist and powerful crime lord, the terrible translations on the cutscenes, it all reminded me of those awesomely horrendous martial arts flicks i grew up watching.

Also, Terry was not bad to look at either...
