240sx / S13 Removing Struts and Shocks

Vlog 17: Finally preparing our 1992 240sx, alongside with my daughter to get rid of the old blown oem suspension & prepping it to replace with Adjustable Coilovers. Trying to get the coilovers all done before we send out the bottom end to get machined & finish up the KA24DE overhaul.

When it comes to the process of the front suspension loosen the 17mm bolt on the bottom of the strut. Use a 17mm wrench to hold the bolt into place and a 17mm socket on a breaker bar to break open the 17mm bolt. Remove x3 of the 14mm bolts on the top of the strut tower, then allow it to drop down. Finish removing the front strut & spring by prying our the clip holding on the brake line, then remove & repeat procedure on opposite side.

14mm socket
17mm socket
17mm wrench
3/4 Ratchet
Breaker Bar
Pry bar
Floor Jack
Jack stands x4
