At least one million protesters have rallied across Egypt calling on President Hosni Mubarak to leave office. The protests in Cairo and in other major cities were unprecedented and the biggest to date since the demonstrations began more than a week ago. In the capital's Tahrir Square, the main focal point for the opposition, people defied a curfew well into the evening to continue their call for Mubarak to go.
