I love my BA AMEX card and find the incentives very attractive. Just 18,500 avios gets you a return flight to Nice for £1 and other European locations are similar prices. Also, if you sign up by July 15th and spend £2k in the first 3 months of card ownership (which is relatively easy to do if you put food shops, petrol, other large purchases on there) you get 15,000 avios as a bonus. I only got a 6,000 avios bonus when I signed up through a friend’s link, so this is a crazy amount. Almost a free flight from the offset!

This card is totally free to hold, is easy to get if you’re in full time work and earn an average UK salary and you can even covert nectar points into Avios if you shop at sainsburys. I also love shopping through the Avios app and getting boosted rates for certain retailers. Points really mean prizes here too.

It goes without saying that this is a credit card and should only be taken out if you are confident that you can repay the balance every month and don’t spend money you can’t afford to pay back. The fees for late payment are high and it can be easy to get into debt. So this comes with a major warning!
