Shadow of the Colossus ~ A Despair-Filled Farewell ~ Solo Piano

Today is a good day because it is an uploading day, and Shadow of the Colossus is back for one night only, in order to test-drive my fancy new Steinway VSTi.

I love the sound of it, although the better my virtual instruments get, the uncannier the disconnect between what is heard and the cheap keyboard, grainy footage and dishevelled figure seen in the video.

But it doesn't matter too much; the arrangement presenting itself well is what's important to me.

A Despair-Filled Farewell is another of the battle themes from Shadow of the Colossus, which I cut from my plans for my original concert video because too much fight music would have unbalanced the collection.

Its absence seemed to be felt at times in the comments section, however, and after some time I found myself agreeing with you, so here we are.
