When you use your Credit Card while you are out of country, there are 2 options you get while making the payment.

1️⃣ Pay in your local currency which is INR

2️⃣ Pay in the currency of the country you are in

You might think what is the difference ? The transaction amount would be same in both the cases... right ?

Yes, it will be same, but because you hold an Indian card who bills you in INR, there would be a currency conversion fee which you will be charged , which will be very high if you pay in INR...

So, it is recommended that you always pay in the local currency of that country to save some of that conversion charges...

Also, if you hold a card which offers zero international transaction fee, then it will help you save more on international transactions...
