In this video I cover 8 bars at once😱. So we finish the A-part of „High Society“. I play two versions of these 8 bars: the one written in the score as good as I can and the one mainly inspired by the 1923 recording. The accompaniment is minus zero dixie-style but anyway … I think we‘ll get the idea.
After watching and listening to all my recordings again (Prince‘s Military Band 1911, King Oliver 1923, Samuel Blaser 2020) I have to confess that what I play as „second“ King Oliver sounds more like what Samuel plays.
