In this video, I experiment with an old computer power supply (PC PSU) and a DC-DC boost converter to see how far I can push the output voltage. ⚡
Starting from the standard 12V output of the PC power supply, I connect it to a boost converter module and try to increase the voltage step by step. Surprisingly, the voltage can be boosted to over 30V!
This is not a finished product, but a hands-on engineering experiment to explore: 🔧 How stable an old PC power supply can be
⚡ How a boost converter increases DC voltage
📈 What happens when we raise 12V up to much higher levels
🧪 The limits and behavior of the circuit under test
Throughout the video, I:
Show the wiring and setup of the old PSU
Measure the input and output voltages with a multimeter
Adjust the boost converter in real time
Observe temperature, stability, and performance
Discuss what this setup could be useful for in future projects
