This video shows the garbage tires that John Chameli of militaryoffroadtires.net sent me. While there is always "more to the story," the shortened version is that he promised to personally check the tires being sent out to me and gave me his "I'd never sell garbage tires to anyone... I'm a family man, blah blah." Well, one of the 5 tires actually had "dry rot" written on the sidewall and circled! I assume that was from the military and not from John, but it makes one wonder why John, who personally checked my tires, would have sent me a tire that was marked as garbage??
Within 30 days of receiving the tires, I had photographed all of them stated my cracked sidewall concerns, and was told by John "Please email pictures because i looked at the tires before they shipped. We stand behind our product. If there is a tire not wright we will exchange it out." I told them my wheels weren't ready to mount the tires anyway, and since it was winter time in Denver, I was not too concerned about replacements and that we could straighten everything out in spring when I was ready to mount the tires. In March I emailed John again, and here is John's reply "When did you buy the tires??? we will exchange them. But you have to send them back for exchange . email your number to discuss. we check tires as best as possible by hand we do not air them up.!!!! Very sorry about this." [why would a customer pay to send garbage back to a vendor? The pics I sent him were of unmounted tires] John said he would get me a shipping quote which he never did, but in truth, there is no way in the world I would pay to freight these tires anywhere! After a lot of unreturned calls/emails, John emailed back in April and said "Our policy is you send back a defective tire and we replace it. You have a 30 day Return policy. You contacted us 6 months ago and we never herd back from you." Clearly John is mistaken and such a policy of sending garbage to buyers and then demanding that they pay to ship the tires back is absurd.
After considering the shipping charges he would have to pay (I sure as heck wasn't going to pay them) to both return my tires and send me proper replacements, I felt he would be financially better off just crediting me for the tires I currently had. I offered him this option and said I would buy my next set from him when I had my first tire failure, but, well, you read his reply above.
John Chameli has proven himself to be a man without honor and is abusing one of the very solders who protects this country and John's freedom to operate his business. He could make this problem right if he cared to, but his latest comments about me to Andrew (a great guy who works for him) "How should i handle this ASS HOLE." I guess "with integrity" is too big of a stretch for John...

UPDATE: I was offered a replacements for these 5 tires even beyond the 30 day warranty - BUT AGAIN, I have to pay to ship these POS's back to them though. These guys make it so unreasonable to get replacements and I can't justify the additional expense. Patrick who works there is great to work with, but shipping me garbage to begin with was just wrong.
