Functional Design. If you like to go off-roading, these Rugged Ridge 3/4 in. D-Shackles are pretty useful to have on your Jeep. A D-shackle gives you a nice, secure and strong recovery point, whether you're trying to get out of a tight spot, or you're trying to help someone else. It works great with a winch line, snap strap, or tow strap. You get excellent security, so whatever you're using for a recovery doesn't just slip off and become a hazard. Even if you don't go off-roading, having D-shackles for your off-road bumper that comes with mounts really makes your rig look complete, and tougher. You can use these D-shackles on any 1987 to 2017 Jeep Wrangler (YJ, TJ and JK). Strong Build. These D-shackles measure 3/4 of an inch, and have a 9,500 pound working load limit. You can get these D-shackles in red, black, or silver with a red pin – whatever matches the rest of your built the best. Easy Install. These are super easy to install, and shouldn't take you more than 10 minutes. You don't need any tools to thread the pin, or undo it if you want to take the D-shackles off later. Some people prefer to leave them in a recovery bag, just so nobody takes them off their rig in a parking lot, which you can certainly choose to do.
