This is a story about the genesis of the Wells Wesleyan Church and how their ministry all began. Waaaay back in the early 1900's.

A man named Henry Earley,
His trade was jewelry,
In Northville, New York, he had a shop.
One night at a revival meeting,
Reverend Williams was preaching,
Henry got saved and his job he did stop.
In 1907,
Earley wish his family in heaven,
With Reverend Gothea they went to Wells.
Tented next to Wells' Record Office,
Folks came to see what's the fucus,
Heard preaching of holiness and hell.

But that didn't stop God,
Despite the distractions and yells.
Twas revival in that tent,
Spirit's seeds did plant,
In time became the Wesleyan Church of Wells.

Folks heard and didn't care,
Threw frogs into the air,
Even cut the tent's holding ropes.
Yet others did get saved,
Despite those who misbehaved,
Which gave Henry Earley some hope.
With his wife, kept coming back,
Folded organ on buggy's back,
He reached as far as Gilmantown.
Though he did die quite young,
His mission only begun,
In a saloon a church there was found.
