Let there be holes

Trimmed the Rawhide to a close "rough" shape
leaving approx 1/4" around the edge so I could stitch it together.

You could use an awl if you wanted but drilling 1/16" holes is faster in my opinion. Remember this can be use for more than just knife sheaths. Rawhide is pretty strong and in this form pretty inexpensive.

Take your time and put them as even as possible while trying to keep plumb and going through both pieces. You can make this as precise as you wish.
Now we stitch it up

It also takes very little work to get something created. It's the same for just about every leather and Rawhide project. Just follow these directions and change the things that need be changed. procedure is the same
