In this fun and heartwarming video, my little chef and I make the creamiest, most delicious Malai Kulfi at home-and it's so easy, even a sleepy kid can do it 😉

Watch as we turn simple ingredients into a dreamy summer treat that's rich, creamy, and full of love. Perfect for family moments, dessert lovers, and anyone who needs to cool down this summer!

INGREDIENTS

1 litre full-fat milk
1/2 cup (120 ml) heavy cream
1/4 cup (60 ml) condensed milk
1/2 cup (50 grams) unsweetened milk powder
1/4 cup (50 grams) sugar
1/8 teaspoon saffron strands (kesar)
6-7 cardamom, finely ground
2 and 1/2 tablespoons (25 grams) crushed almonds (save 1 tbsp for garnish)
2 and 1/2 tablespoons (25 grams) crushed pistachios (save 1 tbsp for garnish)
2 tablespoons edible rose petals (optional for garnish)

METHOD
=========
Step 1: Add milk, heavy cream, condensed milk, milk powder, sugar, saffron, cardamom, and coarsely crushed almonds and pistachios to a heavy-bottomed pot. Stir well.

Step 2: Heat on medium and bring to a boil while stirring occasionally.

Step 3: Once boiling, lower the heat to medium-low. Keep stirring gently to avoid burning.

Step 4: As cream forms on the sides, scrape and mix it back in for extra richness.

Step 5: After 45-60 minutes, when the mixture thickens, turn off the heat and let it cool.

Step 6: Stir well and fill the kulfi mixture into molds. Mix before filling each one.

Step 7: Cover molds, poke a stick through the center, and secure it.

Step 8: Freeze around 8 hours .

Step 9: Once frozen, dip molds in room temperature water for 1 second. Rub between palms to loosen.

Step 10: Pull out kulfi, garnish with chopped nuts and rose petals, and enjoy!
