A few buddies and I decided to take our kayaks 2 miles out into the bay where the party boat fleets roam to try our hand at jigging deep water flatties. We all caught some and I was able to snag 3 between 20"-24." The fish came mainly on bluefish strips and 6" gulp twister tails. We encountered lots of bluefish schools along the way and lots of boaters with New York accents saying "Can you believe these a**holes out here in kayaks!?" It was a great day until it got cut short by the daily SSE blow.
