Dragon Quest Walk Blade Sites New Feature Explanation

Welcome to Dragon Quest Walk Tutorials!
In this video, I will be going over the new Blade Sites feature, which was introduced in the 5th Anniversary Event!

From September 12th, we were introduced to another new feature to the game called Blade Sites

Blade Sites allow you to select spot on the field in which you can place a sword and engrave a record of one of your feats in the game for all to see
You need an Adventure Rank of at least 11 in order to have access to the Blade Sites feature

In order to create a Blade Site, you must first go to the map icon, which can be found on your main field screen in the top right corner
From there, you will find the Blade Sites icon, and tapping on it will allow you to set a Blade Site, in your proximity, on the field
If you have your Blade Site as being open for public viewing, other players will be able to see it on the field and interact with it
While Blade Sites can be placed pretty much anywhere on the field, it is asked that they not be placed in an area that has restricted access

Like I mentioned in the First Look video of the 5th Anniversary Event, after selecting the location of your Blade Site, you will be able to choose the sword for the site, and can select a comment and memory that will be seen by other players
The memories that you will be able to select from will include the various feats that you have accomplished in the game

You can also check on the Blade Sites that you currently have by going to the Souvenir/Travel menu found on the main menu screen
You are limited to the number of Blades Sites that you can have on the field, which is three
If you want to add a new Blade Site, you will need to either delete one that you currently have to make room for another one, or used purchased gems to increase the capacity of the Blade Sites that you can have, which will cost you 500 purchased gems

If you decide to delete a Blade Site, the position reset process will take 72 hours
After the position reset process has finished, you will be able to set a new Blade Site
You can use purchased gems to skip the 72-hour reset process and create a new Blade Site immediately
A deleted Blade Site cannot be brought back, so please be careful

When you tap on the Blade Site of another player, the Shirube Slime will appear on the field
If you talk to the Shirube Slime by tapping on it, you will be able to get rewards, such as gold, guiding shards, and play points
You will also get a Someone’s Memory Orb, a blue sphere with the silhouette of a sword in it
This is going to be a permanent item, so it will show up in your important items section
This, I believe, allows you to see the information of Blade Sites of other players that you have tapped on in the Souvenir/Travel menu

Your Blade Site, as well as other players, will also double as location setters on the map
When selecting a spot to put a quest location, Blade Sites can be used as a goal
Blade Sites that are in your close proximity will not show up as a location setter
Blade Sites that have not been made public by the players that created them will also not be displayed on the field

Purchasing a Gold Pass will allow you some special options when creating your Blade Site

Special Blade Appearance
With the standard sword displays for the Blade Sites, you will only have access to two of them
With a Gold pass, you will be able to have three additional swords to choose from, for a total of five

Personalized Comment
While there are pre-written comments that you can use to engrave on your Blade Site, you will have the option to create your own comment if you have a Gold Pass on
It is asked that you do not write down any personal information about yourself and others, and also not write anything that would offend someone
As I mentioned in the First Look video, Dragon Quest Walk does not take any responsibility for the comments written by the players, and players have already accepted an agreement to abide by the terms above

Blade Site Editing
Finally, you will be able to edit the Blade Sites that you have created on the field
In regards to editing, this means the changing of the comment that you have written and the sword on display
You will not be able to change the location of the Blade Site with this feature
You will not be able to edit your Blade Sites if the time limit of your Gold Pass has expired
After editing a Blade Site, there will be a waiting period of up to 72-hours in order to check the content of the comments written on it
In regards to the comments, there is a limit to the number of characters that you can use and also the words that you can use as well
