Miki Matsubara was a Japanese pop Singer that began her career in 1979, from a young age she began learning piano and by her teens she was playing often in jazz clubs before moving to Tokyo and releasing her first single "Midnight Door/Stay with me". That single launched a career that would span 3 decades before tragically being ended in 2004. After a successful career in the 80s she began releasing songs for Animes such as Gundam 0083. Additionally She has worked with members of legendary Japanese rock band Happy End (Takashi Matsumoto, Shigeru Suzuki & Haruomi Hosono) Tin Pan Alley (Tsugutoshi Gato), Shiro Sagisu (Composer for Neon Genesis, Shin Godzilla, and former member of TSQUARE) among many others.
