Well, they were back at the center of it on Tuesday after it was reported that they mutually agreed to part ways with Marlon Mack via trade. Not being able to keep an upstanding individual and elite talent like Mack satisfied isn’t a great look for the Colts, and we seriously hope they find a proper landing spot for the 25-year-old running back. However, if it’s more opportunities he’s looking for, the Jets’ offense is desperate for playmakers to lessen the burden on rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, who’ll be lucky to make it through the season healthy at this rate. Colts RB Marlon Mack could start for the Jets, but would it be worth it? The Jets have viable options at RB with Ty Johnson, rookie Michael Carter, and vet Tevin Coleman. However, none of them are as decorated as Mack, who’s rushed for 2,399 yards and 20 touchdowns on 4.4 YPC for his career. Given the details behind the report, it seems like Mack would have to accept a potential trade before it’s completed. Would he sanction a move to the winless Jets?
