In the last scenario of the Golden Gift campaign, both Brokk and Eitri team up and fight their way to recover the golden boar.

We win if we are able to bring both Brokk and Eitri to the Golden Boar in the North corner of the map.

The strategy should be to rush all the temples outside of the walls as quickly as possible. Then after a quick boom, go all in on Loki's base and destroy everything there, including the three remaining temples. After the main base is sieged, the rest of the enemies guarding the boar can be dealt with at your leisure.

We begin in the Mythic age, with no god powers and a small army. Use the barracks to create a few throwing axemen and lay down a great hall or two and spam out some Hersir. Your army can immediately destroy the two temples just outside your base.

Then you immediately need to go scouting and raiding with most of your army to find the remaining 5 temples in general area. Keep adding in Hersir and throwing axemen where possible to boost that army and build two walls on the western areas of your base to keep any raiders out or at least slow them down. Getting rid of the temples early will help to massively reduce the firepower of Loki's minions as they spawn a few myth units from each temple.

Being this aggressive early also benefits you by scouting and learning where your gold mines are, it helps control the map so you can start setting a forward base or trade route and destroying the temples grants you god powers, which can be used economically, defensively or offensively.

Anyway, once you've destroyed 6 out of 10 temples (1 is on an island that you can ignore for the moment) and you see the double layered walls, grab both of the town centers close to the middle of the map. You'll want to set up multiple fortresses up around this area to hold this position. Your army now should be Hersir, Throwing axemen, Godi, a few myth units, some jarls/berserks and portable rams/ballista. The armoury upgrades are something to aim for as well, with Thor's Dwarven armoury giving you access to the best armour, allowing your army to be more durable in battle.

When attacking, use undermine to clear out the walls and then use flaming weapons and barge your army in Loki's base. You need to move quick to eliminate the enemy army and then destroy as many buildings as possible to cripple Loki and reduce his firepower. Two or three strong assaults should see most of the base eliminated, at which point you'll be in control and can take your time cleaning up the rest of the enemy forces.


All you need to do is then to fight your way to the battle boar with Brokk and Eitri and you'll win the scenario.
