Increasing your weapon mastery to level 20 is pivotal in New World as it unlocks points that provide unique abilities and passive bonuses for increased survivability, damage, and CC. In this video, I will show you the best area in New World to quickly increase your weapon mastery to level 20 as a solo player.

There are two camps of pirate mobs in Restless Shores that are quick to respawn and easy to kill. These mobs are level 45, and can pack a punch when you are gathering them up. I would recommend you be at least level 53 with faction gear to solo this farm.

New World rewards those players that take the time to increase their weapon mastery to level 20 providing them increased damage to crush their enemies. If two level 40s were fighting, the one who had both weapons at level 20 would be highly favored.

Depending on your spec and weapons, there are a few different ways to pull the mobs. The first is to speed through the camp gather all the pirates and stopping either right along this fence line or just outside the camp. This method is the most efficient and common way to make this farm happen. However, because of the sheer popularity of this farm, this location is highly contested. Grouping up is okay, but it definitely lowers your weapon mastery experience per hour so it is not desirable. Which is why I propose a second way to accomplish this farm that breaks it up into halves to hopefully avoid anyone decreasing your experience per pull.

Start off near the fence line and make your way through the camp pulling all mobs along the path until you reach the hut in the middle. Move inside and fight the mobs within the hut. Once you finish them, continue through the camp pulling the rest of the mobs to the fence line or just outside the camp. As I was performing this method, I found that as I was finishing the second pull of mobs, the first group was just respawning so the timing works well. Plus, I discovered that I was losing a lot less health because I was halving the mobs which decreased my food and consumable usage. Although this method might not be as popular, I believe that it could actually outperform the first for the reasons previously stated. Certainly if there are other players contesting the farm, this is the ideal way to fight for your experience. Also, consider logging in at different times to avoid any large number of players.
