About Daybreak:
Daybreak , written and directed by Puja Chakraborty, has been screened at numerous short film festivals. Some of the notable ones include the Academy Award qualifying short film festival - Bengaluru International Short Film Festival, Chennai International Short Film Festival, Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival and Pune International Short Film Festival. It won the award for Best DI at 4th Pune International Short Film Festival 2019.

DAYBREAK had it's premiere on December, 2018 at Ooty International Short Film Festival.

"The sentimentality associated with fish for some people is a one that can't be expressed in mere words. It is not just about the feasting side of it but also the economic and emotional side of the entire fish eating culture that has carried on through generations. After all, a good haul of fish is more than just a meal."
