It offers a view of Mer de Glace, Chamonix, and the Mont Blanc massif which makes this a popular trail for backpacking and hiking.

Surrounded by a breathtaking mountain landscape, the Refuge du Plan de l'Aiguille offers a comfortable environment and modern amenities without taking away the rustic charm of a mountain hut. The refuge is located at the foot of the Aiguille du Midi, facing Mont-Blanc at an altitude of 2207m.
