Pace – His pace overall was good for me considering the position Laudrup plays as a playmaking midfielder. 86 pace is about equal to similar players that have recently been released, although maybe by Team of the Season it might be a little outdated, it will still allow Laudrup to be useable. I think the fact he has higher acceleration than sprint speed also makes him feel faster than the stat on his card. However, I would definitely use a chemistry style that boosts him pace.

Shooting/attack positioning– Laudrup’s shooting is not anything special in game which is quite disappointing considering he is an Icon Moments card. He is capable of finishing inside the box and I did score a few goals with him, but there are a lot of better options in his position when it comes to shooting. His attack positioning for me though was actually really great and felt a lot better than the stat suggests. He has been one of the most attacking minded central midfielders I have used so far this year. Laudrup also does have both the finesse shot trait and the outside of the foot shot trait which do help his overall shooting ability.

Dribbling – One of the key areas of any Laudrup card is his dribbling ability. Despite being 6’0 and having 88 agility with 84 balance he did not feel clunky to move with at all both on or off the ball. His ball control and dribbling are near perfect and the way he moves with the ball at his feet is up there with some of the best cards I have used in FIFA 22. Adding 93 composure to this also allows Laudrup to remain calm under pressure and he does not take heavy touches whilst being challenged for possession.

Passing – Again, like his dribbling this is an area that Laudrup is known for. In fact, this Icon Moments card specifically relates to his passing ability in one of his most memorable performances. His vision, crossing, short passing and curve are basically perfect in game and are nearly maxed out as stats without a chemistry boost. Although his long passing is quite a bit lower rated at 86, the combination of his other passing stats makes this completely unnoticeable.

Defending – Laudrup does not offer anything defensively, so I would not play him any deeper than CM with a defensive minded midfielder to support him.

Physical – Another negative of the card is his overall physicality. 66 jumping does make him quite poor in the air, although with him being 6’0 you might win the occasional header. 82 stamina is useable but for this point in the game is very disappointing, especially in a position which for me does a lot of running all game. Both Laudrup’s strength and aggression are low rated which does make him very easy to push off the ball.

Skill moves and weak foot – Having a 4 star weak foot and 4 star skill moves is essentially a minimum for attacking players at this point in the game. It allows you to perform some of the more advanced skill moves in the game which increases the ways you can beat your opponent. A 4 star weak foot means that both passing and shooting on his weaker left foot does not lose too much power or accuracy compared to his right foot.
