Union Minister Chirag Paswan tells ThePrint's Neelam Pandey that caste census should be part of the next census as specific data is required for allocation of money for community-based development schemes, but pointed out that the data should not be made public as it may create further division in the country. Paswan also batted for One Nation, One Election Bill and expressed the desire to carve a bigger space for himself in Bihar politics. He said that he has immense respect for PM Modi, but his Lok Janshakti Party will never merge with BJP.
