Vermont Apple IPM: Hanging apple maggot fly traps.

Описание к видео Vermont Apple IPM: Hanging apple maggot fly traps.

Apple maggot fly (AMF) is a serious pest of apples grown in the northeast. Flies emerge from the soil in late June-early July in Vermont and lay eggs in developing fruit. Larvae feed on fruit tissue and render them unsalable.
Trapping to monitor AMF populations is a really simple and effective IPM strategy to help time and maximize effectiveness of sprays. In small home orchards, multiple non-baited traps can be hung per tree to 'trap out' flies and avoid spraying altogether. https://extension.unh.edu/resource/ap....
