This is Episode 3.2 of the Leh Chalo Series, capturing the road journey from Drass to Srinagar via the treacherous pass - Zoji La.

While the distance can normally be covered under 4 hours, on that fateful day, it took us more than 7 hours to reach Srinagar from Drass.

The route was one of the most scenic that we experienced during our entire trip and was loaded with adventures as well. The landslide immediately after we had crossed over the Zero Point at Zoji La and road expansion work by the Border Roads Organisation had caused the delay. It also showed how treacherous the terrain can be for people to drive / ride. It puts both the man and his machine to test.

Enroute we had some amazing Kashmiri cuisines at Sonmarg and finished the day with soul refreshing Kahwah overlooking the beautiful Dal Lake at Srinagar.
