The Way Knows the Way (English with Spanish Intro) (Enhanced Audio) - Lyndsey Scott

Like many others, this song has become precious to me. I just had to create an enhanced audio version for myself. I also wanted to combine the Spanish translation as the introduction, the group singing, and then the outro being the recording of the song composer Lyndsey Scott and co-harmonist composer Lisa G. Littlebird.

I figured if I took the time to make this for myself, others might enjoy it too.

Lyndsey writes regarding catching the song:

"In 2019 i was drawn to spend much of the summer and fall in "bikeabout" -- attuning with the land and my soul by taking long bicycle treks, weaving between communities, learning and leading song.
This particular bikeabout I was calling the "womb room bikeabout" ~ I was turning 40 that summer and holding sacred questions about how I am to Mother in this lifetime.
On the first day of the bikeabout heading out from east central Illinois toward St. Louis, MO, this song friend came while pedaling, without effort.

In the weeks prior, I had scrawled in my journal the words, "You don't have to know the way, the way knows the way." (attributed as an anonymous quote), as shared in the book It's Not Your Money by Tosha Silver.
The rest of the words followed, and the tune arrived intact.

I shared the song for the first time at Village Fire Singing gathering with the teens during our overnight expedition, and then we all sang it for the community upon our return.

I see that the song seeded itself at that critical point, right before I traveled to Omega Institute and Esalen and various CA circles, to be able to spread more internationally pre-pandemic. I've heard from people around the world who have welcomed it as a dear friend for the unraveling and decomposing that is happening in many of our lives as we are guided into the unknown. It has taught me so much about Song as an energy that is here to support us in surrendering to Love."
