The Trait Theory is one of the oldest leadership theories in existence. In this video, we'll describe trait theory and briefly examine six trait theory studies:

- Ralph Stogdill (1948)
- Ralph Stogdill (1974)
- McCall and Lombardo (1983)
- Kouzes and Posner (1987)
- Kirkpatrick & Locke (1991)
- Zaccaro, Kemp, and Bader (2004)

Once we've done that, we'll examine the advantages and disadvantages of trait theory before wrapping up.
