When we were in Gibraltar a few months ago, we had to visit the famous monkeys up on the Rock! Turns out though, that there's a pretty cool story behind why they're still there. In this episode, we explore a little about the history of Gibraltar - and why it's British - while going on a bit of safari to find some British monkeys (Barbary macaques). Fun fact, although they don't have tails, they are still monkeys (not apes)!

The monkey population in Gibraltar is currently increasing. There are around 300 animals living in the Upper Rock area of the Gibraltar Nature Reserve, and supposedly they sometimes make forays into the town.
