Sonam Wangchuk, Climate Change Activist who was on a hunger strike to demand statehood for Ladakh has been arrested. This development comes after the MHA blamed him directly for the Ladakh Violence which left 4 people dead and 80 injured. This was his interview on the eve of his arrest, in which he said he was ready to go to jail but was being made a "scapegoat". The government has accused of him of inflammatory and provocative speeches. In its press statement, the MHA said though talks were scheduled for October 6th, Wangchuk's speeches made "provocative" references to "Arab Spring and Gen Z In Nepal". Wangchuk addressed these allegations in his interview to Barkha Dutt
