Judge Paige Reese Whitaker is using this week to consider the admissibility of possible future evidence. Yesterday (Tuesday, August 20, day 115), she saw a video of a young child flashing gang signs at the direction of, allegedly, Jeffery "Young Thug" Williams.

Thugger's lawyer Brian Steel questioned the relevancy of the video. He argued the video is cumulative because jurors have already seed plenty of evidence of Thugger supposedly using gang imagery.

"I just don't understand why the child is an important part of the mission to find the truth here," Steel said.

Chief Deputy District Attorney Adriane Love said the more the state is able to show to the jury that "this is in fact not a facade ... then the stronger the state's case becomes."

04:20 Careto Matthews Sr., attorney for Marquavius Huey, calls the video "extremely prejudicial from the standpoint of having a child hold up tehse gang signs"

"I agree that it's prejudicial," Whitaker says, but it's not substantially more prejudicial than probative.

06:10 "It's wildly probative to that," judge says

Doug Weinstein, lawyer for Deamonte "Yak Gotti" Kendrick wants a "105" instruction, which is a jury instruction that tell them the evidence is limited to a particular defendant.
