SCCA Super Tour Portland - Sunday 2021 - EP Mazda RX7 - Bradshaw Motorsports

Sunday's race at the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour Majors Race at Portland International Raceway on May 15-16th, 2021. This was my first weekend in this new to me Mazda RX7 EP car. Lots to learn still, but granted it was the cars first race in seven years I was pleased with it's pace running a 1:27.6 on used tires. It was a fantastic battle with Joe Carr and Kurt Frietzche for first in class in EP. I pride myself on being someone who doesn't miss many shifts but I missed multiple during this race while trying to learn this new and different short shifter. Not ideal to learn a new car at a national race without putting in a few steady test days to get some muscle memory built up in the car, but we soldiered through the weekend and fixed a number of things to take the win Sunday.
